About the Rabbi

Rabbi Eric Walker is an Ordained Messianic Jewish Rabbi. He received his Jewish education from Rodef Shalom in Pittsburgh and Temple B’nai Israel in McKeesport, PA., and his undergraduate education at Penn State University. He has received continuing education in the Yeshiva Program under the International Association of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues (IAMCS) and at Messianic Conferences in connection with the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America (MJAA). Rabbi Eric and his wife, Lora, have held a number of teaching and leadership positions at Congregation Beth Hallel in Roswell, GA prior to planting Beth Hallel Birmingham in February of 2007. Together they have raised two children in a home dedicated to the Jewish roots and heritage of their faith in Messiah Yeshua. Lora has served with the Messianic Jewish Israel Fund (MJIF) and has made numerous trips to Israel. Rabbi Eric and Lora have also served as Leaders on three MJIF Benefit Cruises in support of Believers in the land and led multiple trips to Israel. Rabbi Eric sits on the Board of the MJAA as an Honorary Executive and is member of the Board of Advisors of the MJIF. He is the author of Etz Chaim – Lessons Learned from the Tree of Life published by Destiny Image Publishing due out April 1, 2012.
